Welcome to The Drizzle Effect

Helping build kids' confidence, one story at a time.

    • You'll love our children's journal designed to build confidence in self-expression through drawing, writing and a whole lot of imagination!

Come on in and meet our friends too! Drip, Drop and Drizzle are three raindrops who first meet in school.

We offer both online and virtual learning for children and parents.

Go at your own pace, or join us live where participants will interact in real time either one-on-one with a teacher or with the teacher and a group of students.

An online community of like-minded people who love kids. Together, we help children gain confidence and strengthen their emotional intellect.

No one ever said parenting would be easy, but you definitely DO NOT need to face the job alone!

Every day kids are struggling in the classroom and doubting their ability to achieve.

The Drizzle Effect aims to give kids a three-step process for confidently using their voice by expressing themselves through creative art, writing, and storytelling.

Our core belief is that every child can and wants to learn. It’s our job to give them the sense of safety and confidence needed to take the risks that allow them to soar.

We use creativity to build confidence.

  • Woven throughout all of our books and courses is a process we call Drip, Drop and Drizzle. The outcome? This is The Drizzle Effect.
  • DRIP: First we teach kids to RECOGNIZE that "thing" they think they cannot do, aren't good at, or have never tried before.
  • DROP: Next we encourage them to ACT; to take the first step towards achieving this "thing."
  • DRIZZLE: Finally, we CELEBRATE. Trying a new or hard thing is hard and even scary! Practice creates habits grounded in confidence. And celebrating the successes along the way, no matter how small, encourages continued practice.
"Personally as a Mom, I love the prompts [in Drip, Drop and Drizzle] opening my daughter to share her creativity and artistic self...and mine too as we talk about what she has created. As an educator and therapist, I have witnessed the power of encouraging reflection and creativity with art and writing. These contribute to positive cognitive and neurological development, resilience and flexibility which are so important in our changing world."

"Ms. Mary has been the biggest inspiration to my son. He was struggling a lot in school and getting poor grades. He didn’t want to try because he was always feeling like he would never do better. Then I found Ms. Mary, and she has built his self esteem back up and has taught him to persevere through his struggles. I have seen a more positive child all because of Ms. Mary. She has been a huge help to my son and to our family. I am so grateful for her."
